Haematococcus pluvialis is a freshwater microalga. When intense light, heat, or lack of nutrients stress it, it defends itself in a spectacular way: it turns red, producing astaxanthin. It is precisely this natural defense that we harvest and put into each capsule. Ours comes from certified organic crops of European origin.
